Our skilled and experienced practitioners strategically place these fine threads just beneath the skin, stimulating collagen production and promoting natural tissue tightening. As the threads dissolve over time, they leave behind a supportive structure that continues to lift and tighten the skin, providing long-lasting results. Benefits of our PDO Threadlift, include improved skin texture, diminished fine lines, and a more defined facial contour. Pre and Post Care

1. Consultation: If you are unsure if you are a good candidate for a PDO threadlift, please schedule a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional beforehand. All PDO Threadlift appointments require a $500 deposit. Consultations are complimentary.

2. Inform your healthcare provider: Provide your healthcare provider with a comprehensive medical history, including any medications, supplements, or herbal remedies you are currently taking. This information will help ensure your safety and determine any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.

3. Avoid blood-thinning medications: Prior to the procedure, it is advisable to avoid blood- thinning medications (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) for at least one week. These medications can increase the risk of bleeding and bruising during the procedure. However, always consult with your healthcare provider before making any changes to your medication regimen.

4. Avoid smoking: If you are a smoker, it is recommended to stop smoking at least two weeks before the PDO threadlift. Smoking can interfere with the healing process and increase the risk of complications.

5. Avoid alcohol and caffeine: Refrain from consuming alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours prior to the procedure, as they can contribute to dehydration and increase the risk of complications.

6. Hydration: Ensure you are properly hydrated by drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your PDO threadlift. Hydrated skin tends to respond better to the procedure.

7. Plan for downtime: PDO threadlifts may involve some swelling, bruising, and discomfort after the procedure. Plan your schedule accordingly, allowing for a few days of potential downtime or limited social activities while your body heals.

8. Arrive with clean skin: On the day of the procedure, ensure your skin is clean and free of any makeup, lotions, or creams. This allows for a sterile environment and optimal adhesion of the threads.

9. Please reschedule your appointment if you are not feeling well, develop a cold sore, blemish, or rash in the area to be treated.

10. Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding may not be treated. No exceptions.

11. Please have your consent forms filled out prior to your appointment. If you did not receive consent forms, please reach out to our office at (909)218-3993 or info@rumibeautyco.com

After the procedure, you may notice:
  1. Some asymmetry or puckering of the skin may occur and typically resolves with time. If it does not resolve after three week, please contact us.
  2. Tightness and tenderness, you may take Tylenol for pain
  3. Headaches, you may take Tylenol for pain
  4. “Twinges”, “zingers”, or “quick shocks”— this is completely normal, and is caused by the threads stimulating a nerve ending. This kind of pain gradually resolves within several weeks after thread placement.
  5. Swelling and bruising is to be expected after procedure and will typically resolve within a few days to weeks after procedure
  6. Banding may appear, which is normal and is nothing to be concerned about. Applying warm water compresses and time will resolve any banding issues.
Aftercare:
  1. Take Tylenol around the clock for the first 24-48 hours to help with pain and tenderness
  2. Take arnica to help expedite the healing process
  3. For blood clot type bruises (hematomas) you may apply cold compresses gently to the area.
  4. Keep head elevated on several pillows for the first 3 nights after procedure.
  5. Only take showers (NOT BATHS) for the first week following procedure
  6. You may wash your hair and face with very gentle upward and outward motions that lift the skin in the same directions as the sutures lift the skin.
  7. Patient can remove bandaid after 24 hours. When removing bandaid, patients must
remove carefully and in a bottom to top pulling direction. Moisten the area with a small amount of baby oil if necessary to avoid pulling.
  8. Avoid picking and manipulating the suture at the procedure site. This can cause more bruising, infection, the perforation of the suture through the surface of the skin
or the disjunction of the suture to the skin and muscle.
  9. Avoid direct heat such as laser treatment such as IPL or laser hair removal for at least a month.
  10. Avoid baths and use showers for one week following your procedure.
  11. Avoid any direct pressure to the face and area where the sutures were placed for one week after the procedure (for example, sleeping face down, excessive chewing, talking, yawning, smiling and other facial movements during the week after your procedure.
  12. Make sure you have and go to your follow up appointment with your provider 3 weeks to a month after your procedure that we may assess your results and answer any questions you may have.
How to maintain your treatment:
  • Treatments are recommended about once a year for maintenance.
  • For optimal results, your provider may also recommend adjunct procedures such as
neurotoxins, filler, sculptra, RF microneedling, or smooth threads. PDO Threadlift is meant to temporarily reposition fat pads, but is not meant to be all encompassing. Multiple modalities are often required to help you achieved your desired results.
Contact our provider immediately:
  • If you experience increased redness, fever or drainage from the thread site
  • If a thread begins to poke through the skin
