    • Avoid other facial treatments (e.g., waxing, laser hair removal) for at least one week before IPL.
  4. Cleanse Skin:

    • Ensure your skin is clean and free of makeup, lotions, or creams on the treatment day.
    • Provides a sterile environment for optimal treatment effectiveness.
  5. Avoid Tanning Products:

    • Refrain from using self-tanning products or getting spray tans for at least two weeks before IPL.

  6. Shave Treatment Area:

    • If receiving IPL for hair removal, shave the treatment area the night before or on the day of the procedure.

  7. Reschedule for Health Concerns:

    • If feeling unwell, developing a cold sore, blemish, or rash in the treatment area, consider rescheduling your appointment.
  8. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:

After IPL Treatment Information:

Darkening of Dark Spots: This is normal and expected, and will lighten or “peel” off over the next weeks.

Sunburn-Like Sensation: This will typically resolve within the next few hours.

Aftercare:

    • Wear a wide-brimmed hat, use sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher), and avoid excessive sun exposure.
    • Post-procedure kits are available for purchase to promote healing and enhance results.
  2. Apply Cool Compresses:
    • If you experience discomfort or mild swelling after treatment, apply cool compresses or ice packs wrapped in a clean cloth to the treated area.
    • Helps reduce inflammation and soothe the skin.
  3. Maintain a Gentle Skincare Routine:
    • Use only gentle, non-irritating skincare products on the treated area.
    • Avoid exfoliating scrubs, harsh cleansers, or any products that may irritate the skin for at least one week post-IPL.
  4. Moisturize Regularly:
    • Keep the treated area well-hydrated with a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer.
    • Helps soothe the skin and promote healing.
  5. Attend Follow-Up Appointments:
    • Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments with your healthcare provider.

  7. Do Not Pick or Scratch the Treated Area:
    • Allow the skin to heal naturally without picking, scratching, or peeling off any scabs or crusts.
    • Picking can lead to scarring and other complications.
  8. Avoid Waxing or Plucking:
    • Refrain from waxing, plucking, or using depilatory creams on the treated area for at least two weeks after IPL.
    • Hair follicles need time to shed naturally.
