After-Procedure Considerations:
Skin Appearance:
Some asymmetry or puckering may occur and usually resolves with time. If not resolved after three weeks, contact us.
Pain Management:
Experience tightness and tenderness; Tylenol can be taken for pain relief.
Headaches can be alleviated with Tylenol.
Nerve Stimulation Effects:
“Twinges,” “zingers,” or “quick shocks” are normal, caused by thread stimulation of nerve endings. Pain gradually resolves within weeks.
Swelling and Bruising:
Expected after the procedure; typically resolves within days to weeks.
Banding:
Normal, resolve with warm water compresses and time.
Aftercare Instructions:
Take Tylenol for the first 24-48 hours for pain and tenderness.
Use arnica to expedite the healing process.
Apply cold compresses for blood clot bruises (hematomas).
Keep the head elevated on several pillows for the first 3 nights.
Only take showers (NO BATHS) for the first week.
Wash hair and face gently with upward motions matching thread lift direction.
Carefully remove the bandaid after 24 hours, moisten with baby oil if needed.
Avoid picking or manipulating sutures to prevent bruising, infection, or disjunction.
Avoid direct heat treatments for at least a month.
No baths, only showers for one week post-procedure.
Avoid direct pressure to the treated area for one week.
Attend follow-up appointment 3 weeks to a month after the procedure.
